Giants – Gog
We have two animatronic giants like Gog.
He stands almost 4m tall, has a radio operated mouth and eye and can hold a club in his right hand.
All the giants require the operator to wear plasterer’s stilts.
Like Balor, this giant was built by Jag Props in Bristol with additional modifications by DSH workshops.
This inflates from the size of a sack to extend 6m upwards and approximately 12m across in a minute or so. It is necessary to connect one or two tendrils to flying wires to ensure an upward motion when it inflates. We hold two of these effects in stock.
We have three different Cinderella coaches available for hire. The Pegasus (pictured left) is an amazing automated hydraulic coach. The wings on the Pegasus horse begin to flap, then as the coach starts to move forwards the horse nods and moves its legs and the coach carries Cinderella forwards and upwards, giving the impression that the coach has taken off turning and lifting simultaneously towards the audience, giving the impression it is flying through the air. it certainly has the ‘wow’ factor.
Our trucked coach, shown in the second and third images, is beautifully ornate. There is room for a footman and coachman as well as Cinderella on the coach. The horse’s legs move with the motion of the truck.
Our pony drawn coach is designed to be drawn by two or four small ponies. It is built on a real coach chassis and is guaranteed to get the audiences oohing and aahing. This item is offered for sale as well as for hire.
We have three of these effects, all of which operate on a counter-weighted, see-saw mechanism. The ‘flying’ scene is undertaken in a blackout under UV lights rendering the operators and equipment invisible to the audience. Only the ‘carpet’ itself, which is painted in UV paints, is visible.
This Ice-cream van truck provides a unique slosh scene.
Seen here in our workshop, this truck is used by Dame Trott to try to make some money. In the process it has engine trouble with plenty of opportunity for a slapstick routine with the potential for goo to be squirted from the engine and/or the exhaust before the whole van fills up with foam (ice-cream) from two “uncontrollable” ice-cream (foam) machines. The indicators and head lights can be operated from inside the van.
The van sits on an 8’ x 4’ truck base and stands approximately 3m tall. Although this has been designed with Dame Trott from Jack and the Beanstalk in mind, it would be possible to change the name plate on the side if necessary.
* Currently booked between 20th November 2021 and 3rd January 2022. Available all other times.
This scene sits on a truck measuring 5m wide by 2m depth. The flats stand approximately 3m from the platform, which is 1m off the ground. There are black serge flats SR and SL which conceal the operators who stand on either side rocking the platform up and down. There is a black serge “skirt” at the front ensuring none of the mechanism is seen by the audience. This is a four man operation.
There are two portholes for water/foam to be thrown through. There is a door on the US flat to enter and exit.
This great tricycle is a lovely addition to your pantomime. Dame Trott or Jack can literally “pedal their wares” with plenty of opportunity for comedy action. The blue lids hinge up to access the inside of the delivery box. If required and for a modest sum, the box can be removed and replaced with a custom-built addition of your choice.
This is a double-sided throne used for when the Beast transforms into the Prince. An actor dressed as the Beast sits on the dark side and hidden by a flash of lights, the throne magically spins around to reveal the Prince sitting on the beautiful side.
This hilarious gag has the actors sitting together in the bed when the moose’s mouth opens and he licks/strokes/pats the head of one of the actors with his huge tongue! There is also a large cuckoo clock with doors for a puppet to pop through unexpectedly.
