Make your next season’s production a rip-roaring success with a choice of quality pantomime sets.
In recent years, DSH have added 4 new sets to their stock. Widening the choice of high quality pantomime scenery available for hire. They have a continuous cycle of refurbishment, enabling them to offer all their sets in their best condition and are always adding to and improving their portfolio.
Offering a personal service, DSH work closely with theatres and production companies helping them solve those awkward flying and sight-line issues that often crop up when hiring a set. DSH are happy to build additional scenes, create custom effects or swap cloths if necessary to tailor each pantomime set to their client’s individual needs. This can include creating a purpose built “slosh” scene, we have created several of which for Cambridge Arts Theatre in particular.

The panto sets are ideally suited to a proscenium width of around 15 m and height of 6 m. Cloths have an average size of 11 m x 6 m, although this varies from set to set. Some of the portals can be extended to fit a wider prosc opening and have exchanged some of their hard portal headers with soft borders to give even greater flexibility.
When you need an additional effect, be that comedy, slapstick or magical, be sure to speak to DSH.
Included in our ‘large props’ are a selection of spectacular giants, flying carpets, beanstalks, and Cinderella coaches. There’s also a ‘rocking’ galley, ice- cream van, archery target and talking trees.
DSH can work with you to create your very own slosh scene. these are often in the form of trucks that are a miniature box set to contain the slosh but can just be a wallpaper pasting wall or a couple of flats. We have built several slosh trucks for Cambridge Arts theatre over the years and always tie the design in with the set they are hiring.
DSH Pantomime Sets have fully equipped workshops and a paint studio, and can offer new set builds at reasonable prices. All the panto scenery is continually refurbished to ensure it’s easy to use and operate during performances.
