When you contact DSH Carpentry and Design, Sarah Holland will arrange to meet you and visit your proposed site. Your preference of size, material, style and type of use are all taken into consideration to create a structure that suits your exact requirements. Sarah will then present a preliminary rendition or two of the proposed building for your approval/comment before the design is finalised and accurate working drawings are produced.
Once the design has been approved, David will set to work in his old forge carpentry shop. David Holland is a highly skilled and experienced carpenter.
All the projects undertaken by DSH are project managed and built by David. Whether your garden or outdoor building is constructed in soft wood or hardwood, David’s skills and attention to detail ensures your project exceeds your every expectation.
David and Sarah work closely with you during the build process to ensure you are satisfied every step of the way.
If your new timber garden construction needs soak-aways or wiring, we can work with plumbers and/or electricians so that the necessary work will be included in the groundwork.
DSH and their team strive to make as little impact on the rest of your property as possible; keeping the use of large and loud machinery to a minimum, and always making good where unavoidable wear has occurred.
As well as creating your bespoke timber building, DSH Carpentry and Design project manage the entire construction. They supply all the skilled subcontractors – electricians, plumbers, plasterers, decorators – or will work with yours, guaranteeing a seamless journey from the first seed of an idea to the completion of your bespoke timber building.
DSH Carpentry and Design offer a full landscaping service to complement your new timber building. Alternatively, if you’re using a landscape gardener, DSH will liaise closely with them to ensure the project runs smoothly.

David and Sarah continue their theatre commissions alongside their bespoke timber building projects, although during the COVID-19 pandemic, this side of the business has unfortunately been severely challenged. They thank their lucky stars that they have several strings to their bow and have, instead, ploughed all their energies into Tew Timber Buildings.
DSH take immense pride in their work and strive to ensure that their clients are 100% happy before signing off on a project. If, in the unlikely event that problems due to their craftsmanship arise, they will be more than happy to return to rectify any issues for up to 10 years after completion.
